Terms of Use

1. About Question Genome
Question Genome is a service for recording thinking moves that appear in responses to open-ended questions and looking back at that thinking trail over time. It is not a medical service, psychological test, personality test, ability assessment, aptitude assessment, legal service, investment advisory service, or diagnostic service.
AI observations may contain variation, errors, or incomplete expressions. A result with no clearly observed thinking move is a normal result. Do not rely on Question Genome alone for important decisions.
2. Eligibility and Launch Markets
The English version is currently intended only for users who are at least 18 years old and are ordinarily resident in, and accessing the service from, the United States (50 states and District of Columbia only), Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
By starting the English version, you confirm that you meet these eligibility conditions and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
3. 7-Day Free Version
The 7-Day Free Version includes seven responses, with up to one response available per day. A day without a response does not consume a response. No payment card is required.
4. 30-Response Version
The 30-Response Version is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You may submit up to one response per day. The service is completed after 30 actual responses; skipped days do not count.
A Midpoint Report becomes available after response 15. A Final Report becomes available after response 30. After 30 responses, the service changes to View Mode and no new responses can be added.
No fixed calendar expiration applies to completing the 30 responses while the service remains available. View Mode remains available while Question Genome continues to operate, subject to these Terms.
5. Price, Payment, and Access
The English launch price for the 30-Response Version is USD 9.99 as a one-time purchase. It does not automatically renew.
Payment is processed by Stripe Checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Question Genome. Any tax Think Margin is legally required to collect will be shown before payment. A bank or card issuer may charge separate foreign-exchange or international-transaction fees.
Paid access normally begins automatically after successful payment is confirmed.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, purchases are generally non-refundable after paid access begins.
Duplicate or erroneous charges will be refunded after verification. If a failure attributable to Think Margin prevents use or completion of the paid service and cannot be restored within five business days after a support request is received, the purchaser may request a full refund.
No partial refund is provided solely for unused responses. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method.
7. Personal and Non-Transferable Use
The paid right of use is personal to the purchaser. Do not transfer, sell, lend, or share an Access Code, paid access, or other authentication information with another person.
8. User Responses and Data
Rights in text submitted by a user remain with the user or the lawful rights holder. The user grants Think Margin permission to process submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, create observations and reports, maintain security, provide support, and operate or improve the service.
Do not unnecessarily enter another person's personal information, passwords, authentication information, or confidential information.
9. AI and External Services
Question Genome uses external services including OpenAI, Cloudflare, and Stripe. Their outages, policy changes, or service changes may affect Question Genome. Details of data handling are described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the service unlawfully, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it, overload the service, or resell or commercially reproduce Question Genome content without permission.
11. Intellectual Property
Question Genome's name, design, questions, classification framework, reports, software, and other service content are owned by Think Margin or the applicable rights holder. Using the service does not transfer those rights to the user.
12. Service Changes, Suspension, and Discontinuation
Think Margin may make reasonable changes or temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, quality improvement, security, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
If the paid service is permanently discontinued in a way that materially prevents an existing purchaser from completing the 30 responses, Think Margin will consider an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund or alternative access.
13. Disclaimer
Think Margin does not guarantee that the service will meet every particular purpose, that AI observations will always be complete or accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Users remain responsible for how they use information obtained from the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Changes to These Terms
Think Margin may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or service-related reasons. Material changes will be communicated through the service or official website when reasonably possible. Where law requires consent, consent will be requested.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and the contract for the service are governed by the laws of Japan, except to the extent mandatory consumer law in the user's jurisdiction applies regardless of this choice.
The parties will first try in good faith to resolve disputes through discussion. Where legally permitted, unresolved disputes are subject at first instance to the Japanese district or summary court having jurisdiction over the seller's address.
